If you’re a manufacturer, give your product a powerful point-of-differentiation in a crowded marketplace

From cut or heat resistance to electrically-charged material, Tuff-n-Lite® can work with you to develop innovative products for specialty or niche markets.

We actually manufacture the yarn so we have the capabilities of specially designing a product that will best suit you and your customers needs. Tell us what properties your ideal product would have and we’ll mix the proper fibers to accomplish your objective.

For example, lets say you need a material that’s cut resistant, flame resistant and needs to have wicking properties. We can do it.

How about if your ideal material was chemical and abrasion resistant
with a slight degree of elasticity and microbial or bacterial protection.
We can do it.

Dyneema®, Spectra®, Aramids like Kevlar® and Twaron®…. fiberglass or stainless steel are a few of the many specialty fibers that can be used to create distinctive blends of Tuff-n-Lite® specifically designed to meet the properties needed.

Tuff-n-Lite® with Dyneema® is our largest-selling cut-and-abrasion-resistant composite. As the world’s strongest, lightest cut and abrasion resistant material, it has some other extraordinary attributes, too:
    • Superior abrasion, cut & tear resistance
    • Can be died to match any color
    • Better UV-light resistance
    • Better flexibility
    • Better water resistance and moisture resistance,
    • Superior comfort
    • Superior breathe-ability,
    • Long wearing
    • Low lint
    • 15 times stronger than steel
    • May be washed, bleached or disinfected without harm
    • Resists oil, saltwater, saline and acids

Although our popular Tuff-n-Lite® with Dyneema® has excellent properties, Tuff-n-Lite® is substituted with an Aramid fiber instead when high-heat applications -- between 220 and 900 degrees Fahrenheit -- are required.

If maximum abrasion resistance is not needed -- and low cost is imperative
-- we can engineer Tuff-n-Lite® with more common core products such as fiberglass or stainless steel.  A composite made this way will retain most of Tuff-n-Lite’s® high-performance fiber attributes.

These are just a few of the options that we have to create a
Tuff-n-Lite® composite material that fits your needs and budget
